Murari Krishna Dasa joined ISKCON in 1989 and was initiated by His Holiness Niranjana Swami in September 1991. That same year he began working in the marketing department of the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust in Moscow. From 1992 through 1996 he produced the radio show “Confidential Knowledge,” which was broadcast all over Russia, and later developed specific radio shows for Moscow and its surrounding regions. Later, he became a member of the famous Moscow Radio Krishnaloka team. During those years and up until 1996, he spent time traveling with his spiritual master as secretary and interpreter.
In 1993, he became chairman of the Moscow temple’s communication department, and later a CIS Food-for-Life coordinator, taking part in the distribution of sanctified food (prasada) in hotspots like Chechnya and Abkhazia. Spent time working with the Russian pop - star Linda as a team member (1995-2005) dressed on stage as a Vaishnava.
Working on radio shows made him interested in creating audiobooks with musical enhancements.
He has since recorded Purnacandra Goswami’s Gitamrita, Krishna’s children stories, Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and Bhagavad-gita As It Is, among others, which are now available to the Russian-speaking public.
In 2003 Murari Krishna moved from Moscow to Seoul, South Korea, where he spent ten years working with different orchestras and ensembles. He is currently traveling with Indradyumna Swami’s worldwide Laxmi-Nrisimha tour. He looks forward to producing more audiobooks from the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust library.
